This story
is for kids.
We want to hear them.

We're getting Miles Finds Adventure: First Day in Room 205 ready for readers. Before it heads out into the world, we're inviting a small group to read it with us and share what they really think.

THE ONE THING WE WANT

Not a perfect review. An honest reaction.

What does a beta reader do?

Nothing complicated. We want to know how the story lands with the people it was made for.

FOR GROWN-UPSKids lead the reaction. Adults share it with us.
01

Apply

Parents, caregivers, educators, and librarians across the U.S. can apply. We're choosing one group of 15–30 participants in total.

02

Read together

If selected, you'll get a private, illustrated digital copy of First Day in Room 205. No purchase or printed book is involved.

03

Tell us what stood out

What caught a child's attention? Where did they smile, pause, or ask a question? We want candid reactions, not story edits or a public review.

OUR POINT OF VIEW

Adults can tell us what a story should do. Kids can tell us what it actually does.

EVERY STORY HAS SOMETHING TO SAY.AND WE'RE LISTENING.
LLB / 01

Your turn.
We're listening.

This takes about a minute. We're only collecting adult contact details and a little information to help us choose a balanced reading group.

BETA READER APPLICATION001 / MILES

A few details, please.

This is an application, not automatic enrollment. We may receive more applications than the available spots.

Please do not include a child's name, email, school, or other identifying information.

No payment. No marketing list. No review requirement. Read our beta reader privacy notice.

A few questions we'd ask, too.

Does my child need to apply?

No. An adult applies and receives all communication. We don't ask children to provide their names, email addresses, or personal information.

Is there a cost?

No. If selected, you'll receive a private illustrated digital reading copy. This is not a purchase, a preorder, or an offer of a printed book.

Do I need to leave an Amazon review?

No. We simply want genuine reactions to the story. Public reviews aren't required, and positive feedback is never a condition of participation.

When will I hear back?

We'll contact selected participants when the digital reading copy and feedback process are ready. Applying doesn't guarantee selection, and there's no announced distribution date yet.

Can I share the digital book?

The advance digital reading copy is meant for your agreed reading activity. Please don't upload, redistribute, or post the story or illustrations publicly.

Will applying sign me up for emails?

No. Your application is only used for the beta reader program. Our First to Know list is separate, and you'd have to join it yourself.
